There are numerous rumors to suggest the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will no longer be an AT&T exclusive, and despite all of this there are even more to suggest it will be. The Galaxy S Active series has been solely represented by one of the top four cell companies in the US as AT&T has had exclusive rights to the rugged flagship which has become Samsung’s Galaxy S Active.
The other three top carriers in the US including Verizon, TMobile and Sprint have tried to get their hands on the ATT&T exclusive and there are many rumors to suggest that at least one, or all three will get their hands on the S8 Active. This is ultimately what AT&T is doesn’t want, and we fully believe their exclusivity on the Active series will remain.
The S8 Active looks to be more of the same offering AT&T consumers a more rugged option than the flagship launching months earlier. Samsung’s Galaxy S8 will debut in March of 2017 with the S8 Active launching in June or July with a price that will be comparable to S8. Offering similar specs, but we’re hearing some significant upgrades in the feature department including more memory options and eye sensing technology.
We’re hearing there will be two price options which include those looking to pay the full price or a monthly payment option. The full price is expected to come in around $799, but on AT&T Next you will be able to pick up a new S8 Active for as little as $28/month for a period of 30 months.
It’ll be nice if Sammy elects to throw some freebies to sweeten up the deal such as a Micro SD card for those looking for a bit more memory out of the box, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. We’ll keep updated on the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8 Active with more info as soon as we get it.
